Treatment Process

Mindfulness Based Programming focuses on sharing the practice of mindfulness and encourages exploration of making the practice accessible in one’s life. The offerings allow for practicing in many forms- sitting, moving, silently and through group interaction. The benefits of practicing mindfulness on a regular basis, in the manner instructed have been shown to:

  • Increase ability to cope with pain and other health conditions
  • Boost immune system
  • Improve emotional states and emotional resilience
  • Reduce stress, anxiety, and depression by decreasing stress hormones
  • Strengthen memory and reaction time
  • Reduce mental “fog” and tendency to ruminate

This program offers an intensive exploration of the practice of mindfulness and extensive focus on practicing mindfulness in your own life. Practices include learning about focus on the breath, body scan meditation, and gentle movement.
